I have reached out to two former volunteers who worked at the Deported Veterans Safe House in Tijuana. They are Drew Bly, an Air Force reservist and photographer, and Joseph Silva, a photographer living in Los Angeles. I have heard from Drew, but we have not set up a time to talk yet and I am still waiting on hearing from Joseph. I will reach out to Hector Barjaras the founder of the Safe House soon to plan on a time to travel to Tijana to complete the ethnography with the veterans living there. Delta broke my camera grip in my luggage while I was traveling back from the inauguration so they have sent me a flight voucher that will make my flight to CA more affordable.
