This mountain is whispering
Iggy is a Chilean guy who travels every year to this zone to work during the green season. He stays on his own at this farm, growing and taking care of its owner's plants and property.
Usually, the Cannabis industry operates under a grey law zone for workers and growers. In many places, the owners of the crops provide accomodations and a black-monthly pay to their workers for taking care of the production during the season. This situation encourages every year, to thousands of young people from all over the world to travel to this zone to make money while working in the Marihuana fields. Every crop has its own regulations and self-ways of production, this photo series shows the inside-work and daily life in the Cannabis local industry of Humboldt County based in the particular experience of Iggy along this period.
This project was developed in between 2016 and 2018, key period for this industry, due of in 2018 the consumption of this plant was also legalized for its recreational use in California State, fact that changed all the ways of control and production of this bussiness.
