Celia Talbot Tobin is a freelance documentary and environmental portrait photographer who splits time between Mexico and Washington DC. A farm kid from upstate New York, her work often explores socio-environmental issues surrounding political and natural borders, land sovereignty and the relationships humans build with their environment. 

Celia was based in western Montana while pursuing a master’s in environmental science journalism before moving to Mexico. She is an alumna of the Eddie Adams Workshop and a member of Women Photograph and The Journal Collectives. Clients include The New York Times, NPR, Harper’s Magazine, Le Monde, Los Angeles Times, Audubon Magazine, The Intercept, Buzzfeed News, Pacific Standard, CNN, The Telegraph Sunday Magazine and other outlets.
