International Women‘s Day. A Woman holds a banner with a picture of Polish Politician and leader of the Law and Justice Party in Poland Jarosław Aleksander Kaczyńsk at The Alliance for Sexual Self-Determination Nettlebeckplatz, Berlin, Germany. The group-The Alliance for Sexual Self-Determination- is a broad alliance of counseling centers, various feminist and general political groups, associations, trade unions and parties, as well as individuals. Since its founding in 2012, it has organized protests against the annual, nationwide "March for Life". In addition to campaign for the deletion of paragraph 218 from the German penal code, Paragraph 218 is quite contradictory in its logic as according to German law laid out in the paragraph, anyone who terminates a pregnancy can be fined or imprisoned for up to three years. There is no criminal liability if the abortion is necessary in order to protect the health of the woman, if rape led to the pregnancy, or is the woman takes part in consultation and has the abortion before the 12th week of pregnancy. However, these exceptions do not make abortion legal; rather, the process is merely possible without punishment.
