A fisherman prepares his rod for a fly fishing expedition on the western shores of the Chattahoochee River. The Chattahoochee, a Native American name translating to "painted rock," is one of three major rivers in the world that carries trout through a metropolitan city. The health of the river has become a serious concern in recent years as a result of outdated water management and a rapidly changing climate.

Waiting for the weather to subside, Atlanta Rowing Club members rest as a fellow club passes by. The non-profit currently holds the United States' second largest regatta; with 1,200 boats and a total of 9,000 seats racing every November, fostering community on the river.
