Commemoration of the 79th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, the largest single revolt by Jews during WWII.The event was organized by the Jewish Cultural Society of Poland, the Warsaw Ghetto Museum and the Jewish Historical Institute, the ceremony took place in front of the Monument of the Ghetto Heroes in Muranow in Warsaw during the week of Passover. Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski and other key figures of the Jewish community as well as holocaust survivors were in attendance.The yellow daffodil bloom is warn as symbol and reminiscent of the Star of David that Jews throughout Europe were forced to wear in public beginning in the late 1930's through May of 1945.
