I am a Ph.D. anthropologist and photographer, producing photographic and textual essays on issues such as territory, colonialism and post-colonialism, disability, new masculinities and sustainability, as in the book "Império da Visão - Fotografia no Contexto Colonial Português (1860-1960), Edições 70 (coord. Filipa Lowndes Vicente). Recently (2020) I was considered by GUP Magazine as one of the 100 European photography talents. My work has been shown in Brazil, France, Portugal and I exhibited collectively at the Rencontres d'Arles (promoted by the British Journal of Photography) and at the International Center of Photography, in New York. I won the Porto'21 Photography Biennial and PhotoEspaña “Cities in the City” initiative. I am co-creator and co-editor of online contemporary photography SOPA Magazine, and editor for the Los Angeles-based photography platform Lenscratch.
