During this two week intensive program, I had the opportunity to develop a story on two Yemeni-American women that created a political consulting firm as a way to bridge communication between government officials and the Arab and Muslim community of NYC.
I also collaborated with other students for their reporting on Ramadan and education and on the families of missing migrants on the US/Mexico border.
The portrait of Andrea Punin, sister of Jacqueline Punin--an Ecuadorian migrant who went missing in 2012 and whose remains were identified last year--made the A1 cover of the paper.
