Perhaps the war will be over . Then, at a sunset I will give my beautiful sweetheart a jasmine rose on the river bank and even if the war is not over, I will still give my sweetheart the jasmine rose
on the river bank and I will kiss her with warmth that washes me from the painful memories of the General and his bleak world.
You General a big lie trying hard to be otherwise.
We know very well what the river was like before your hands polluted it with blood and dead feelings.
Our love is still bigger than your handcuffs and stronger than your machine guns. Yes, I feel your poison running in my blood. But, I feel the passion of love too, Just as I keep the memory of the spring flower during the winter’s storm.
On 25th of October 2021, the Sudanese military, led by General Abdel Fatah al-Burhan, took control over the government in a military coup. At least five senior government figures were initially detained. Internet outages immediately happened. Later the same day, the Sovereignty Council was dissolved, a state of emergency was put in place. consequently, protests started on 25 and 26 of October against the coup. During the coup period I was in the city of Aarhus Denmark stressing and living into atmospheres of fear and depression. I started to feel week and defeated, but as the Sudanese people were fighting live pullets pulled out of the General guns, I as a Sudanese diaspora was also fighting the fear he wish to prevail.
