As quarantine and my own confinement became aligned, I have sought to make this confinement the body that contains my fears and my home the island that has me trapped with them. We try to let light enter through the cracks and windows of my home, in such a way that it became almost an X-ray exercise; and from this exercise this little essay was.

A sort of a diagnostic technique where an image was obtained by exposing one of those fears to that source of high-energy radiation, that light that shelters and before all this global commotion saved us every day.     When a fear interposes itself between that source of radiation and a receiver - sometimes my family, sometimes myself, almost always nobody - the densest parts of that fear appear in different tones, as if on a scale of uncertainties, forming a phrase, a question or a song.

During this time I have seen how many people who make images have given themselves poetic licenses and is notorious that some times they are breathing their own exhaustion, a product of overexposure to oneself and to the way we have made us to see ourselves. The pandemic has forced us to face those other enclosures, those ones that put you face to face with the incendiary force of fear.
