Summary
Healthy cows, healthy soil. Stemple Creek Ranch in Tomales, California. 4th generation ranchers, Loren and Lisa Poncia practice a unique method of 'regenerative' ranching, that sequesters carbon & improves animal health. Their method of grazing cows, sheep & pigs on rotating fields keeps their animals healthier without meds, fed on diverse grasses, while the soil sequesters carbon & becomes more water absorbent, which is important for drought conditions. As has been practiced in the American grasslands since time immemorial, grazing herd activity is key to a healthy ecosytem.
