Arturo Velázquez Hernández

Arturo Velázquez Hernández (1990) is a clinical-community psychologist and independent documentary photographer born in Mexico City, currently based in Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, Mexico. He intends to contribute to the understanding of the mental functioning of the human being by portraying from an intimate mental-health-oriented-perspective, frequently conjugating symbolism, archive, and segments of psychological projective tests in his work. Besides developing personal & introspective projects, Arturo has found himself portraying communities affected by natural phenomena and inside different urban contexts with psychosocial relevance, mainly in Mexico.
