Many families who live along the lengthy sidewalk called, “La Fria” in English translated to “The Cold One” in Pereira, Colombia stay together and happily survive from their livestock and farming including coffee. This area has been owned and passed through generations for centuries. Several stories hide behind each of these people and land, where without their inheritances they would have no other way to live. Here, tradition remains alive despite the education or social class. People still prefer to drink fresh cow milk, own hens and kill them for a delicious traditional hen soup to share with a family which is one of the most important aspects of its culture.
