Maggie Andresen is a freelance photojournalist, reporter, and video journalist based in Kigali, Rwanda. She reports on intersections between human rights, healthcare, migration, and the changing environment. Maggie has reported from across East and Central Africa, Palestine, South Africa, Italy, and the United States. Born and raised in New York, Maggie graduated from Temple University in 2017 with a B.A. in Journalism. She was a Rhodes Scholarship finalist in 2018, and is a Marshall Scholarship alternate for 2019. She is HEFAT certified by Global Journalism Security, is an IWMF Fellow, and was a student at Eddie Adams XXXII.
