As a result of the invasion of Ukraine, Moldova became one of the countries with more receptions of refugees per capita in Europe, but not all of them succumb to the same fate when they arrived at the capital, Kishinev. Minorities like Ukrainians from Roma ethnicity, or people with Russian or Azerbaiyan origins, are separated from the official placing centres and sent to a former Campus of the State University of Kishinev. This segregation happens unofficially, sometimes disguised as a recommendation and sometimes refugees themselves come straight here to avoid a later relocation.
