Alexia is a writer, photographer and anthropologist. She has worked in journalism, media production and academia, and has lived in the UK, Greece, and Sierra Leone. She was the managing editor at Makeshift Magazine for 5 years, and she has a PhD in Anthropology (UCL). She has also studied History of Art (BA) and Social/Medical Anthropology (MA).
Her written and photographic work has appeared in literature journals, travel blogs and magazines such as Makeshift, Huck, Think Africa Press, Addis Rumble, Rear Curtain, and Irin.
