Here is a short film I directed and produced for @glam4good, a non-profit organization that creates and celebrates social impact, and empowerment through beauty and style. Here they created a once in a lifetime Prom experience for terminally ill teens at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx.
I entered college wanting to study filmmaking. That didn’t last long. Supplies and gear were really pricey; I wasn’t focused, and I was introduced to the music industry – which consumed much of my creative and work life for about a decade. Storytelling was always poking at me and photography has been my avenue to tell those stories for many years. At some point a couple of years ago, I decided to take on telling stories with moving images.
Slowly but surely, I am learning more and more. Learning all the jargon, and technical aspects of filmmaking, which overwhelm me at times. But what keeps me pushing is being confident in the abilities that photography has taught me; the ability to understand light, composition and how to connect with people.
