Europe: A continent with rich history, fascinating architecture, and beautiful people. With so much to offer, it is no wonder that it continues to be romanticized worldwide.

But it raises a question: how is it truly any different than the rest of the world? Every continent has rich history, marvelous people, and so much to offer.

In a world transformed by the rise of technology, authority, globalization, terrorism, multiculturalism, and politics, it seems that  we are all moving towards chaotic unification, even through opposition and staunch differences in opinions and values.

Through this massive unification, we are obligated to live in the present while feeling impotent about these ongoing dynamics of change that loom over us.

Impotence conveys that even with these looming powers, people live their normal lives. Even with the knowledge that everything can change from one second to the other, and even then it seems they find peace with this. Europe is no exception to this rule.

While governments worldwide threaten to start wars; a man takes his child to school, a woman wakes up to go to work, both of them wait in traffic while chatting with family members on their cellphones. Both are seemingly happy with their everyday life.

And this is because, with the powerlessness that is often felt in our modern society there is only one simple thing left to do: enjoy life. Because ultimately, that is the one thing we can actually do as citizens of the world.
