Make your Projects public. Public Projects are visible on your profile page and to the Visura community at large. If you're using the Site Builder to share your work, be sure to use Project pages (not Landing pages or Text pages). Only Project pages are archived and shared with the community.
Don't make more than one Project public each week. Making a group of Projects public at one time makes it easy to overlook an individual Project. Upload your archive, then each week make a Project public. Releasing Projects periodically reminds editors that you're out there on a regular basis.
Update your Projects on occasion. Even if you just add a couple of images or update the text with additional information. This will push the Project back to the top of the Editor's feed and give it new life and a chance for editors or buyers to see it that may have missed it earlier. We recommend once every 6 weeks.
Write a Project synopsis! Help editors and buyers to discern what your Project is about because they can't do it through osmosis. We recommend one, clear, and concise paragraph about what the viewer is looking at. Make sure your grammar and spelling are correct.
Captions, Captions, Captions! Whether you are presenting a story or a series of abstract images give us some information. The most frustrating thing for an editor is to not have the information readily available. I can't stress this enough.
Use the number of images that feels right for the Project. I believe there is no set number of images for all Projects. Use any number of images to attain maximum emotional impact. If five images work, great. If 45 images work, great.
Make sure you have all the information about yourself and your Project. Add personal info via the dashboard, under biography and/or CV. Add all Project information such as Name, Title, Tags, and Location in the Project editor.
Be smart about choosing Archive Tags. Think about which words you might use if you were searching for your Project or a subject related to your Project. Don't put a lot of extraneous keywords. While you want the stories or images to be seen in searches, you want them seen in the right context. |
