Cinthya Santos-Briones Wins 1st Visura Scholarship for Career Development

Visura is delighted to award Mexican photographer Cinthya Santos-Briones with its first Scholarship for Career Development. The scholarship will cover the fee to attend a two-day intensive workshop with the following editors:

• James Estrin, the co-editor of the New York Times Lens blog; 
• Mary Virginia Swanson, advisor to emerging & established artists and arts organizations; 
• Sarah Leen, Director of Photography at National Geographic; and 
• Whitney Richardson, photo editor at The New York Times and contributing writer for The New York Times’s photography blog, Lens.

Cynthia will learn to select, sequence and publish visual stories with some of the key leaders of the industry. Located in New York City—the workshop will take place at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism on June 10-11, 2017.
