In September 2014, ISIS attacked Ayn-el Arab in three fronts. Before the civil war in Syria, the city was under regime's power and was a part of Rojova, being ruled by Kurds of PYD - Syria. In a strategical importance due to territorial integrity of canton Rojova, Kobane was carrying a political sense for Kurds in Iraq, Iran and Turkey. It took 1 month for ISIS to arrive in the city during that time nearly 200.000 civilians had already passed to Turkey. City was emptied. When October came, ISIS had enclosed the city in 3 sides from within 5km. Civilian war lasted for months resulted by the victory of YPG, with the aid of collision's air forces. But the city has become a ghost town which is impossible to dwell in. Kobane blockade of ISIS influenced region's demographic structure deeply. More than 200.000 people has no longer a home.
