Private Story
Our Wedding
My dad, Kwahn W. Kim, battled pancreatic cancer in April 2005. My sister, who was getting married in the summer, tried to organize a ceremony in the hospital so he could see it with his own eyes. He died days before the ceremony could happen. He never got to see his family grow, and he was on my mind throughout our wedding planning.
My dad was a lover of photography. There is no doubt he would have had a camera in hand during our ceremony, adding to his collection of family photos. In his honour, Abby and I took time to capture moments using one of his old cameras in an attempt give him an eye to our week of festivities.
