African Wild Dogs are considered an endangered species in South Africa. This film shares what these dogs are facing and the different ways in which the public can become involved to make a difference.

Part of the Pack screened during Scout Winter Fest in February of 2021, winning Best Documentary On Ocean and the Environment. Emily joined us for a Special Screening event to discuss the film and answer questions from the audience.

Emily Cross

In 2018, Emily entered the film industry, she produced over 15 commercials, Directing 3 of them, Produced two award winning 48 Hour Film Challenge short films and entered a conservation congress where she pitched and won R50 000 funding to create her conservation short film - as well as won the audience award for her pitch.

In 2019 Emily directed and produced her short conservation documentary on Africa Wild Dogs, Part Of The Pack. Within a year of completing her short film and having brain surgery twice that same year which set her back, Emily was selected to over 25 film festivals around the world, won 3 awards and was selected to be screened on the award winning wildlife TV series, 5050 on SABC2. Today, Emily is Head of Production at an advertising agency in Durban, has worked on close to 100 productions ranging from short films, documentaries, digital content shoots, video productions to photoshoots.
