Scout Film Fridays: How The Moon Fell... By Christina Xing, United States
How The Moon Fell was produced, choreographed, crewed and performed by high school students. Its live orchestra was performed and conducted by high school musicians. This film is a testament to the power of young artists who work together to achieve what no one thought possible.
When best friends Benji (Peter Carroll) and Ruben (Nick Trivisonno) decide to make a film in their free time, they don’t realize they’re signing up for the end of the world as they know it. But when a love triangle develops on set and the lines between reality and fantasy start to blur, the boys must reckon with their developing feelings for each other.
Christina and Jack made this film to inspire and remind young artists-- LGBTQ+ and otherwise-- that their dreams are worth pursuing, that all bad things come to an end, and that not even the sky is the limit.
