The Hyena Man of Harar.
During famines in the 1950´s there were "hyena men" who used to feed hyenas at the city walls of Harar so that the Hyenas would not attack humans. Although the famine has passed, there are still one hyena man that continue the old occupation - Yusuf the hyena man.
The hyenas are scavengers and will occasionally root out freshly buried corpses and even snatch away small children. Yusuf - the hyena man - prevents this. Despite this, the local people of Harar are largely at peace with the hyenas who roam the streets at night.
