May 1, 2020- Chicago, Illinois, United States: About 100-150 persons, a lot of them coming from the Chicago suburbs, answered the call to protest by a group called Freedom Movement USA and gathered at the Illinois State Building (Thompson Center) in downtown Chicago and demanded that Governor JB Pritzker remove his stay at home order covering the State of Illinois. The groups claims that the Illinois Constitution grants the Governor emergency powers for only 30 days and thereafter he must seek legislative approval to extend the emergency orders and the Governor has failed to do so. The protestors also claimed a plethora of conspiracy theories among which they claimed that the Coronavirus crisis is created only as a test run to impose Communism upon the United States.
