Modern Huntsman: The Running of the Wolves

In January of 2021, I spent one month in the remote village of Ottuk, Kyrgyzstan where subsistence shepherds face an aggressive wolf population that kills 100 horses a year and countless other livestock. During the winter months the men of the village ride up into the mountains to hunt these wolves in an effort to mitigate their losses.
