Lauren Fleishman (b. 1978) is an award winning photographer from Brooklyn, NY. She studied at the School of Visual Arts and attended the prestigious École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux- Arts in Paris with academic scholarships. She is currently a contributing photographer to Time Magazine. Fleishman is based in New York and Paris. 

Fleishman’s professional career began when her first body of work, created during her senior year in college, was first published in The New YorkTimes Magazine at the age of 22. Under the guidance of noted director Kathy Ryan, Fleishman continued creating work for the magazine’s popular What They Were Thinking section. In 2003, she won a place in the prestigious PDN’s 30, an invitation-only competition of the next young photographers to watch.

Fleishman has been a visiting artist at The School of Visual Arts, New School, International Center of Photography and the Rochester Institute of Technology. Her work has been exhibited all over the world as part of several major international exhibition’s including Ogilvy and Mather’s Women on Beauty, OjodePez’s Interlude and Lumen. Her most recent body of work, Love Ever After, has shown at the main branch of The Brooklyn Public Library. In 2010, she was one of four photographers awarded a residency at Camera Club of New York, the oldest camera club in the city. In 2012, she was one of 100 photographers in the world to be nominated for FOAM's (Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam) prestigious Paul Huf Prize—the annual prize given to a young international talent in photography under 35 years of age.

Fleishman’s work has been published extensively in Europe. Her clients include Art Khronika (Russia), Cicero (Germany), Das Magazin (Switzerland), Le Monde (France), Ogoniok (Russia), Vanity Fair (Italy) and Wired (Italy). Domestic clients include ESPN, Esquire, The Fader, Newsweek, Time, and W Magazine. Fleishman’s most recent project, Love Ever After, has been published in over six different countries, including the United States, Russia, China, Australia, Spain, and Italy.
