Exploring aspects of the human condition.
What is the power of a person’s glance your way?  I sought to explore this idea about conscious thought, rationalizing, questioning, and memorization within this series. Examining a human condition that cannot be escaped because it is linked to seeing and being seen.

I believe the power of observation is one of humanity's greatest tools of learning. What does that power of observation mean to you?  Sometime, it is but a split-second glance.  Other times, it’s a longer stare. What do you think that same power of observation mean to others? is it the same as your own?  is it equal to all aspects of your own powers of observation?

As Humans, we balance our instincts and reactions to being observed by others based on a series of factors, the reaction of the person or persons we see observing us, whether we believe we're being judged, admired, objectified, scolded, etc. (by no means is this a comprehensive listing of reactions).  As you view the photos, place yourself in the position as the one being observed and feel how you feel. What will your reaction be in response to each of the differing faces you see that are seeing you while you're seeing them?

As a perpetual people watcher, I've wondered how many people I have consciously "seen" during my lifetime. Have you? Just another thing to think about when seeing people.
