today

I woke up to a rainstorm far off in the east

drove into the most beautiful sunrise I have ever experienced,

had an epic battle with a hoarde of mosquitoes (and lost, might I add –

got bit on my eye and just about every where else you can imagine except my feet),

pried an ether cap off with a broken nail clipper rather heroically,

made a picture for Flannery O’Connor

and had a wicked fight with the wind.
