About

Elisa Ferrari is an Argentine born photographer fascinated with images that provide a sense of place and landscape, but also a feeling for daily life, ritual, and community. Her work exists in a variety of forms, from journalistic exposés on Sami Reindeer herders in the Arctic Circle, to documenting fading folk music traditions in rural North Eastern Brazil.

Ferrari’s photography has been featured in print and online publications including Lenscratch, The Los Angeles Times, Muybridge’s Horse, Washington Post, Sony World Photography Organization, and Visual-Culture. Her prints have been displayed at the Los Angeles Center for Photography and the Kiernan Gallery. Ferrari is an alumni of the Eddie Adams Workshop class of XXVI where she was awarded an internship with the Los Angeles Times.

She has earned degrees in liberal arts (B.A.) from the University of California, Berkeley and ethnomusicology (MM) from the University of Texas at Austin.
