Luis Duarte

Luis Duarte was born in Braga on May 30th, 1971, and lives in Oporto, in the north of Portugal.

His journey through photography starts in 1999 when he acquires the first reflex camera, and his evolution includes training in black & white darkroom  and digital treatment at the Instituto Portuguíªs de Fotografia (Portuguese Institute of Photography). More recently he started the photographic approach to alternative processes, obtaining training in Platinum Palladium and Wet Collodion prints.

His work is based in black & white film, and nowadays he is an active member of several photography communities on the internet, national and international, through which he takes part in exhibitions and other photo events.
