It is really nice to have the project I did on the victims of the Colombian conflict that became Paralympic athletes, finally published on the summer issue of VQR. It is hard when you work on a story and no one picks it up, specially because the story of struggle and achievement of these athletes is an example of determination to everyone.

Really nice to see the "Plastic Trees" series as part of Guardians / Plastic, a photo exhibition by Noorderlicht about the effect of plastic in nature at the Natuurmuseum Fryslân in Holland. Exhibition open until the 30th of June.
Ahead of the Olympics I talked with the NGO Hacemos Memoria about my project "Victims & Heroes" that focus on the victims of the Colombian conflict that due to their injuries became Paralympic athletes. (in Spanish)
Two of my images were selected as finalists at the Kuala Lumpur International Photo Awards. The first image is of my working project on the emancipation of the Indigenous women in Bolivia, and the second is part of an assignment for Terra Mater Magazine on the effects of the soy business in Argentina.
The hospitals and the health sector in Venezuela are in a state of total collapse as much of the country. Lack of medicine, doctors and hygiene turns into a nightmare to anyone that has to use the public health care. Henrik Brandão Jönsson and I went for Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter to Puerto la Cruz and Barcelona to see how was the critical situation.
"Seen on Earth" exhibition is now open at Kunst Haus Wien, Austria. It features works regarding the impact of pollution on environment of Simon Norfolk, Mandy Baker and myself. It will be open until the 30 of June.

The "Graffiti Grannies of Lisbon" is about LATA 65, a workshop that teaches older people on how to do street art. A story I've done with the talented Trish Lorenz and that originally was published in The Guardian, it is this month at Courrier Internacional in Portugal.
St. Bartolomeu, a religious ritual that happens every year close to Foz do Neiva, a small village where I spent many of my holidays when I was living in Portugal, is this month in Yoke Magazine from Australia.
