Lina Collado García is a documentary photographer and visual storyteller from the island of  Puerto Rico, focusing on long-form projects. Currently based in Jackson, Wyoming, Lina’s work focuses on a research-led and collaborative approach diving into topics about identity and community. When working on her projects, she draws from experts and testimonials of a community to narrate their story, and keeps inclusivity and diversity always at her forefront. Keeping this focus, in 2019, Lina created the first fully-bilingual art exhibit in the state of Wyoming and published the first story written in Spanish and English, entirely about Latinos in the local Jackson Hole Magazine. She currently mentors local Latinas who are starting in their career and supports them to visually tell a story. With a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Communications, Lina finished her Masters in Film Production and Screenwriting at Columbia University, School of Arts. Lina splits her time freelancing as a photographer for editorial assignments and acts as an educator at the only free literacy center in the state, a non-profit organization in Teton County, Wyoming.  With a strong belief in collective work, Lina is a founding member of the Collective Eye Podcast, a grassroots podcast aimed at promoting engaging conversations in photography and beyond. This podcast is a platform for the many women voices in the industry that aren’t often heard. She is also a member of Women Photograph and Diversity Photo.
