Her work has shown widely, won awards, and her early 16mm films are in the collection of The Film-makers' Cooperative in New York City. From 2014 to 2018 Roberts was a core participant in MINT—an activist artist collective, gallery, and multidisciplinary warehouse space in Columbus, Ohio. In 2019 she received a full fellowship in sculpture for Vermont Studio Center. Her most recent short film, Midwaste, had its festival premiere at Hot Docs in Toronto. She is a 2022 BAVC (Bay Area Video Coalition) MediaMaker fellow. The feature length version of the documentary Midwaste is currently in production. She lives in Berkeley, California.
