Crossing Over is a photo essay on Francis Murillo, a transgendered immigrant who is seeking political asylum in the United States because of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse inflicted on her in Mexico and Brenda Gonzalez, a transgendered immigrant who recieved asylum in 2008. Murillo's final hearing is February 13th and will determine if she recieves asylum or is deported.
