From the 1990s through the early 2000s, I photographed a lot of bands in New York and elsewhere.  I was a regular at clubs like CBGB's and the Wetlands and constantly carried my camera with me.  Although it's been quite a while since I've shot bands live, I have begun to scan and archive my band photos, because of the important role music has always played in my life.  These images capture a specific place and time in an American subculture and have a place within the documentary tradition.
