Venezuelan administrator and visual storyteller Peter Granadillo lives in Miami, Florida. Since 2019, he has been documenting the life of his wife, Oralis, who suffers from Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD), a degenerative condition that results in unusual behaviors, emotional problems, trouble communicating, difficulty with work, or difficulty with walking.

Since she was diagnosed with FTD, Peter has been documenting her life as well as their journey as a family. As a result, his work is primarily focused on in-depth visual stories related to health and the socio-economic impact that health conditions have on the lives of patients and their families.

In the US, FTD affects an estimated 250,000 Americans (University of California San Francisco, 2022; www.ucsfhealth.org). Peter's hope is to raise awareness of FTD through visual storytelling. Currently, there is not enough media coverage about this disease that can affect individuals starting at the age 45.

Peter obtained a B.S. in business administration from the University of Santa Maria in Venezuela. He also completed two Master's degrees in International Finance and Business from the prestigious Metropolitan University in Venezuela. He also studied photography at the renowned Roberto Mata School, where he specialized in documentary photography, portraiture, and photojournalism.
