Born in New York City in 1984, I moved to Brazil at a very young age. Graphic Designer graduated in 2007 in PUC - Rio de Janeiro, I began my relationship with photography making photo shoots with the intent to create rapport patterns and T-shirts for the Brazilian brand Osklen, where I work as Pattern Design Coordinator.

Since 2009 I began to take interest in social and documental photography, traveling to the countryside of Brazil registering the peoples’ day-to-day life. In 2011, together with the Convivium Slow Food Mata Atlí¢ntica group, part of the Slow Food organization, I started the Project:Expeditions, which works with "good, clean, and fair food”, taking into account its social and environmental relations. I photographed the Brazilian Amazon in the State of Pará, north of Brazil (2011), and the Mata Atlí¢ntica in the State of Santa Catarina, in the south of Brazil (2012).

In 2012 I presented in Turin, Italy, the pictures at the event Terra Madre, in the exhibit The Paths of Excellence: a trip through territories by their products and their protagonist, at the invitation of the Slow Food Organization.

In 2013 I went back to my birth city - New York, to study photography at the International Center of Photography. I studied Documentary Photography and had the chance to do the Origins Project on the South Asian Immigrants in the Queens area, their cultural transplant and adaptation process. This work was my way to have a deeper experience with the city and renew my ties with my hometown and my own origins.
