Summary

Samuel Takyi’s arrival from Tokyo 2020 Olympics games was met by a large crown of Family, Trainers and members of the James Town and Bukom community where he grew up and trained.

Takyi’s win at the Tokyo makes him the first Ghanaian Boxing Olympic medallist since 1972. Also, the only African Boxer to win a medal at the 2020 Olympics games at the age of 21 years.

Takyi later announced his intention to fight on the professional stage. He believes he is young and has records to break. “I have a dream”, he said.
