Born and raised in the Caribbean archipielago of Puerto Rico, Leonardo André Laboy developed great passion for photography early on in his teen years. His first interaction with the medium came as a basic film course student in La Liga de Arte de San Juan. After various courses he decided to pursue a Bachellor's Degree in Photography with a Minor in General History at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón. Leonardo is currently a Freelance Photographer while undergoing the process of acquiring a Master's Degree in Caribbean Archaeology at El Centro de Estudios Avanzados de Puerto Rico y el Caribe in El Viejo San Juan. He has been working as a Freelance ever since he graduated in 2009, shooting music bands like The Mirage Theory, Perros de Pavlov, Jah Seed among others; He has also done Photojournalism covering issues that concern the inhabitants of the Island of Puerto Rico like the death of Lolita Lebrón and the Universidad de Puerto Rico student's strike action against the well oiled government machine of privatization. Recently he has been involved in filming music videos, interviews and marketing.
