Displaced Bathers is a series of large format portraits of the characters of the short animated video “Elas", decontextualized, as they pose in or around their homes.

The video re-interprets a scene from  Milan Kundera´s ´Unbereable Lightness of Being´ in which the character, in a dream, indiscriminantly shoots women for the pure satisfaction of seing them die, as they walk around a pool. This dream is recreated and re-contextualized in the desert that borders Mexico and the United States.

These images are part of a greater body of greater body of work developed around the theme of displacement.

 *Large format photographs.
