The life and impact of internally displaced in Zakarpattia, one of the poorest regions of Ukraine.
As a border region has always faced social and economic hardship, which has been now exacerbated due to the current refugee crisis.
Although this peripheral geography, families and local authorities in the region are receiving fleeing people escaping war, which creates a kind of anxiety on how to deal with this migratory influx, not only because of economic and social issues, but also the psychological burden that they might become migrants themselves.
Even if the war hasn’t arrived its consequences are well present. The social landscape is being altered due to the conflict.
