Juan Manuel Barrero Bueno is a Documentary filmmaker and photographer.

He graduated in Film and Photography technologist from UNITEC in Bogotá. He has worked in video, product photography, travel photography, and photojournalism throughout Colombia with Press Agency, COLPRENSA.

Barrero has developed projects for OXFAM, GTZ, DIAKONIA, USAID, ACDIVOCA and has worked with the United Nations (UN) and its various offices, programs, and organizations in Colombia (UHNCR, WFP, PMA, UNDP, UNFPA, OCHA). He has also collaborated with international news agencies, including Reuters, EFE, AFP, AP, in Colombia.

Currently, Barrero lives between Bogotá, Colombia and St Pete, Florida, USA.
