I understand the act of photographing as a way to discover the world around me which for me means I am constantly shooting. As a project-based photographer, I often find myself looking at 'single' shots which I feel don't really belong anywhere (not to any particular project anyway). These might be taken either on the streets (of wherever I happen to be at the time) or at home with my family for example.

These 'lonely' shots are the starting point for 'Connections'. An exercise in photography sequencing with shots which apparently have no connection whatsoever, from either a physical (place) or aesthetical point of view. However, some of these shots carry the same sort of personal narrative and end up being a representation of how the photographer (in this case me) looks at the world.
