Xamar Weyne is the oldest district with in Mogadishu and up until 1938 the city of Mogadishu was made up of Shingani and Hamar. The narrow alleys in this neighbourhood resembles those of other coast towns in East Africa like Mombasa, Lamu and Zanzibar. This series of photos are from my daily walks in those narrow alleys interacting with the beautiful people in the neighbourhood.
