Experience

Contributing Photographer - Quinnipiac University, Hamden, CT — 2014- Present

I continue to document Quinnipiac University for numerous departments on all campuses. I’ve made images for Quinnipiac Magazine, the University’s Website and the new Medical School View Book, to mention a few. I look forward to every new challenge.          Â

Contributing Videographer - Covert Productions - NYC - 2007-2014

I worked with Kate Davis and David Heilbroner on two documentaries which aired on HBO. In 2013 The Cheshire Murders, and in 2014, The Newburgh Sting aired. Both documentaries challenged long held beliefs and ask questions of those entrusted to protect us. The Newburgh Sting won the Peabody Award in 2015.

Event Photographer - UNCF - Stem Initiative, Washington D.C. - 2014- Present

Carita Marrow, Senior Relationship Manager of the Science Education Initiatives for UNCF, Scholarships and Programs, has called upon me to make images of the scholarship orientations of Undergraduate, Masters, Doctoral and Post Doc recipients as well as work on other projects.Â

Event Photographer - Qeyno Labs - Oakland CA, - 2014- Present

Kalimah Priforse, Founder and Headmaster of Qeyno Labs has requested my help documenting his work empowering marginalized youth at Hackathons. Youth in Philadelphia, San Francisco and Atlanta, with guidance from tech professionals, create smartphone apps to address real-life challenges while learning they have value, can affect change and have support.Â

Contributing Photojournalist — Hartford Courant, Hartford, Ct - 2012-PresentÂ

In 2013 I began documenting our state for Connecticut’s largest paper and the longest continually published newspaper in the United States. I not only shot, but generated images and stories by cultivating relationships in the community.

Staff Photographer - Record Journal -Connecticut Post- The Herald - 2003- 2010

Before graduating college I was a staff photographer at The Herald in New Britain and went on to shoot for the CT Post. My last staff position was at the Record-Journal in Meriden. At all the papers I documented the communities on a tight deadline with little time with my photo subjects and still made compelling images that well framed the communities we covered. Â

  • Education

Central Connecticut State University — Bachelor’s of Arts - Communication/            TV-Broadcasting - 2004

Being driven in a field where experience is valuable, I quickly found myself furthering my career before earning my diploma. I was working as a staff photojournalist for the 3rd largest paper in the state before completing my BA.
