Fabio Itri lives and works in Reggio Calabria, Italy. After graduating in philosophy he specialized in advertising and in 2009 started photographing. In 2013 he attended a specialization course in reportage photography at the Istituto Superiore di Fotografia in Rome. He collaborates with several media and magazines. His works and his images have been featured on Lensculture, Maps-Magazine, The Fifa Weekly, Left, Grazia, Il Fotografo, Corriere.it, Frontierenews.it, Rainews.it and on a pubblication of Amnesty International. His works have received awards at several contests and festivals including: Lensculture Emerging Talent Awards, International Photography Awards, Moscow IPA, Leica Photographers Award, Fotoleggendo e Portfolio Italia.
During 2017 his work “Scomparsi/Their bodies will never be found” will be exhibited as a winner of the 2016 LensCulture Emerging Talent Awards at International Center of Photography Museum in New York City and will be screened at several international photo festivals including: FORMAT International Photography Festival, Voies Off Arles, Cortona on the Move and many more.
Fabio is a member of Ulixes Picture - Photoresearch & Documentation based in Rome.
He teaches at Il Cerchio dell'Immagine Photography School.
