Gisela Gonzaga en labor de parto en casa para dar a luz a su primera hija, Rebeca. Le acompañaron su madre, su hermana, su esposo y su partera Gabriela Zebadúa. Pese a que la pandemia está haciendo que muchas mujeres den a luz en su casa, su decisión fue tomada desde hace muchos años, atraída por referencias que encontró en internet. Su esposo se convenció cuando la pandemia se fue alargando.
Durante la pandemia de covid-19 más mujeres han volteado a ver los partos en casa como opciones seguras para no ir al hospital. Aún con eso, la mitad de los nacimientos en México son a través de cesáreas, pese a que la Organización Mundial de la Salud sugiere que el porcentaje de éstas no debe ser mayor al 10 o 15%.

Al día de esta fotografía, México había acumulado - en cifras oficiales - 1 millón 372 mil 243 casos, con 121,837 fallecimientos por Covid-19.

Even the pandemic is making a lot of women turn to home births, her decision was taken years before with references she found on internet. Her husband conviced himself after he saw the pandemic was getting longer.
During pandemic Covid-19, more pregnant mothers in big cities have decided to turn to midwives work for giving birth at home in a safety environments instead of going to an hospital. Even with that, almost half of the births in Mexico are surgeries, while World Health Organization suggests that percentage must not be higher than 10 to 15%.
