ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord causing loss of muscle control.  Gradually patients lose control of all their muscles including the ability to speak, eat, and breathe without the aid of a respiratory system. The illness is mostly non-heredity and can affect any gender, race, or age group.  There are approximately  5,000 cases diagnosed in the US each year.    To learn more about Living with ALS with Mustapha and his family visit and subscribe to  "The Abbagando's" YouTube channel and/or visit them on Instagram.

I will be adding more photos to this series as an ongoing documentary of my son Mustapha and his family who is living and loving  with ALS
